I always found a topo map a better source for finding my grid square than anything on-line.

To me, Facebook is a waste of time, I have accounts on both Facebook & Twitter, the Twitter pages are more user friendly, but require an e-mail to interact with unless one lives on the site, Facebook is more complex, requires many pages to carry out the most mundane of message & has so many "Bells & whistles" that it takes forever to load on my dial-up connection..
That being said, the only reason I'm responding to this post, is that I'm on a webmail interface, my regular e-mail client filters Facebook & Twitter names that are included in the subject line & places them in the trash box, o unless I'm expecting a message in either Facebook or Twitter, won't see it unless I double check the "trash" box, which is where such e-mail's belong.
In short, I won't even see this response, as Facebook is included ib the subject line.

Some are good and some...well... OTOH I see some nice prices on New
811's and 813's or about twice what I've been paying for surplus.

Yah, but if it has a 3CX or 4CX, watch out. Look at the 3CX1500A7 NOS
(IE 8877)
OTOH they have a really good price on that 7213 u-wave tetrode for those
that recognize the tube. A pair of those in that 6 and 2 meter amp in
the handbook would loaf at the legal limit. Admittedly 2 X $437 is not
for the amp on a shoestring budget, but that's a fraction of new ones.
IIRC it's an ultra linear tube with IM in the -40 to 50db plus range.
If I hadn't just purchased a new HF amp I'd go for a couple of those.
Down in the 6-meter region each tube is good for over 1200 out with
relatively low drive and can do so up to around 600 MHz. It's a beefy
tube using coaxial construction. It's 3 3/4" in diameter and about 3
1/4" tall with a weight of 2#. Unfortunately it does take a special
socket which means there is little demand for them.
"To me" a gem hidden among the every day stuff. Now watch 'em raise the
price, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to pass anyway.

I entered my existing street address at the above site without
mention of call sign or zip code & it came up with the exact same
grid address that is listed in QRZ..
In fact it indicates QRZ as the source of my grid square address,
which may indicate it's use of QRZ as primary source of information..
Try this: 4149 Bellaire Blvd. #130, Houston, Texas & see what you
come up with..?

Yours comes up "Grid: EL29gq" whether I use your
street address or your call.
It turns out that the Ham hosting the site is
now chatting with the folks at QRZ.
If I go to QRZ they provide the same grid square
address as the Maidenhead site, but when the
Maidenhead site polls QRZ for the grid square
(based on my call) QRZ is shipping-out an
incorrect result.
Some sort of glitch in the software that they
surely will work out in short order. Meanwhile
I will go with the one they agree on!
