[SixClub] Recommended Coax?

Chris,

I hear this advice often, and don't doubt that it's accurate with one
exception. CATV hardline isn't easy to come by, at least here in Birmingham,
AL. When cable TV "head end" construction was booming in the 80's and 90's,
it seems that hardline "short ends" were available as scrap around the
country, but very few cable head ends are currently being built.

I've spoken to technical managers at both the local CATV companies, and they
have very limited supplies of CATV hardline on hand now, mostly for repair
work. No scrap material seems to be available.

I'd love to pick up about 100' feet of the stuff, so if anyone knows of a
source, please share with all of us.

I'm currently using Andrews 1/4" hardline (50 ohm) for my 6 Meter antenna,
and do feel that it makes a difference, especially with weak signals.
Previously, I had used Belden 9913; and was also quite pleased with that.

73,

Les Rayburn, N1LF
