I want to do this project once so I want to do it right.

Since my runs are relatively short, several 25' indoors,
several 100' outside, I can justify a few extra dollars
for lower loss and better quality.

I may even look into professionally-assembled cables
since they can really attach the connectors "perfectly"
and I can then concentrate on properly supporting it
along the run and sealing the connection once in place.

When lightning hits all bets are off - anything can
happen - and nothing you have done may be assumed to
survive. That kind of raw power goes wherever it wants!
