To my way of thinking it's just too high priced for home brew, even if 
that is/was a new tube. We don't know what it's been though and it's "as 
is".  A custom amp would be considerably more, but then you'd know what 
you were getting. I'd much prefer the 4CX3000A although the socket is 
pretty pricey.  I would like to have the power supply though.  As if I 
don't have enough projects going already. I really would like to build 
an amp.

Well, gotta go pick up my daughter over at KMBS. She's coming in from 
Colorado for a few days.
