I must be lucky. I don't own a lot of MFJ stuff, but what I have works fine.
I usually check the eHam reviews before buying anything.

Hi,

Never, ever buy direct from MFJ!

I recommend WB0W http://www.wb0w.com/

Always use a dealer, you will get the best price and have dealer support
instead of MFJ customer no service.

What model antenna do you own, is there a manual online you can
download from their site with parts list?

I'd like to see MFJ offer kits for most of their top sellers,
would just about eliminate the poor solder joints, missing part(s), etc.
that so many have experienced.

I own several MFJ gear, I'm not a MFJ basher just a satisfied customer.
