Really? It was one of the best openings in a while here that I was able to
catch. Most of the southern states were coming in here 59+, a few guys were
40 over.
Then there was the guy on the island in EL44, he was STRONG so I nabbed him,
and while I had the beam that direction others in Mexico and South America
started shouting, I worked a few but there was stations stronger than me.
Went and had a bite to eat, came back and swung the beam from West to East
about 45 degrees at a time and worked a half dozen or so every time I
stopped, thought it was about over and then I started hearing VE's off the
back of the beam, swung NE and worked a few, and again was about to call it
quits and go do stuff with the kids but I swung back around to the West to
see what I could hear tuning around, when I got to the NW I heard some more
northerners and worked some more.
A great night on 6m! I think I first got on the band around 7pm, I didn't
get off the band until about 11pm.
73,
Scott
