[SixClub] VHF contest

I just loaded the TS-2000 into a long wire antenna thrown out of the  
upstairs bedroom window , over to a 20 foot tree and down to a another  
tree ..... maybe 60-70 feet in length.  Im using a Vectronics  160-10  
tuner and found a spot that the reflected dropped below 1.5  ( Amazing  
) then used the internal antenna tuner on the TS2000 to get a 1:1  
match.  The transmitter is happy and I have just made three local  
QSOs.......  My first six meter QSOs since 1988 when an ice storm took  
the 432,144, and 50.1 antennas down.

I'm getting the "six-itch" again...... gonna be looking at 5 to 7  
element beams seriously now.
