If I was going to "park" on a frequency, I'd normally select 50.125 if no  
activity
was actually expected.  If predictions look good, I'd probably  switch to 
scan the 
beacon frequencies and continue up through the cw, dx and  ssb area to 
50.150.
Check your local 6'ers and see if there might be a "tip off"  frequency 
specific to 
your local area.
