As I understand it they are just store and forward systems that work with VOX. basicly a digital recorder that activates when it hears an incoming signal records,stops recording after signal stops waits 2 to 3 seconds then plays the recording. VOX on the radio connected keys the radio and recording is transmitted, so you should be able to hear your own transmission as it's all on the same freq. "simplex".73'Jim KB1PFL
