I just took two tanks of water out to the humidifier in the shop.  When 
I walked in the door the radio was talkin' and I had left it on 50.125 
...naturally.  So, I hurriedly put the tanks in the humidifier so I 
could get back to the rig which is hidden behind my old 76A which is 
standing on it's side with the cover off and innards hanging out. (makes 
getting to the rig a challenge.)

There was one station, with a loud signal, but when I looked at the 
display he was just far enough above the noise floor there was none 
heard on his signal...I waited and waited for him to identify, but he 
was longer winded than I am, which is saying something. So I tuned 
around a bit and picked up one other station.

Finally some one ID'd and they turned out to be long haul locals between 
60 and 90 miles out. <sigh>
Maybe tonight we'll get another opening.
