I got started in 1958, had a DX40 transmitter and a HQ100 receiver, by 1959
the 6 mtr bug hit, I had a Johnson 6N2 100W on 6 and 2 (That was 100w input)
an Eico Modulator and a 5 el beam on 6 meters. Ran the 6N2 with rocks
(crystals) after about a year I converted a Johnson 122 VFO for 6 and 2
meters.
