I don't know about the ones Hy-Gain sells/uses, but how about using the 
old "Winchester" military plugs and sockets.  The only problem would be 
finding them of the right size. Of course instead of being chrome plated 
they are OD as is most surplus. They may not be as pretty, but certainly 
are functional.
