Oops...sorry about the blank...
I agree with mike. The only time you'd get the ping-pong effect is when
something is wrong or insufficient isolation through the cans (which is
also something wrong).
I have heard it on 2-meters when tone was used on the link frequencies.
Not the remote receivers, but on the remote transmitters back to the
voter. It was a case of confusing the voter with alternate receivers
showing full quieting.
