  Paul Harvey influenced my life as a kid by promoting the Grit newspaper,
which I read and enjoyed for years.  His influence also led me to membership
in the Boy Scouts of America, another great youth organization!  I also
became an Amway salesman and made good money for summer activities through
sales of "Shoe Glo" and "Tonga After Shave".  Many of you may remember the
story Paul did praising our fraternity (Amateur Radio) as the "unsung heros
of Homeland Security" for our abilities to always standing ready to serve
our communities and nation in times of need.  There is an mp3 around here
somewhere of that broadcast.
 
  Yes, I'm going to miss him and, yes, in my eyes he always stood for truth
and honesty unparalleled by any others in his profession.  No, there will
NEVER be another Paul Harvey!  We've truly lost a national treasure!
