[SixClub] Anyone tried a Yaesu VX-7R on 6M?

Do you recall anyone trying to listen to the AM on a SSB
receiver and if so
what was the result, please?

If I read the docs correctly it is single-conversion RX on
6M to 47.625MHz
then to the detector?

If so then I'd need a 47.625MHz external BFO next to the rig
to detect SSB.

I am just trying to see how much more versatile the VX-7
might be made
with a small effort.

WDYT?
