Why not..?

I recently began participating in a "Ten-Ten International" net (Houston
SHOT net at 28.488 Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. local time), seems the Houston SHOT
NET atracts more QSO's from far flung location on 10m than on local VHF
public service nets on repeaters.. Some who logged into the Houton SHOT Net
last week, were from Georgia, Ohio & Iowa (Several in Florida & Louisiana
check in regularly.).

They have competion for awards based on the number of 10-10 numbers
collected over any given time frame, the Houston SHOT Net last week logged
over 35 login's during an hour time frame..
