Around here most of the public libraries, Large Hospitals, & fast food joints have free wifi. Check with your new neighbors they may be internet junkies too and let you access their wifi when you explain it will be 3 weeks before yours is hooked up. They'll relate to your withdrawal pailns. LOL

Do you have a cellphone that can be used as a modem?
Many of them can - you may want to do a quick search via a
hotel
or restaurant's free wifi.
A cellphone modem is usually slower than wifi but faster than
dial-up. Of course you may have to have data access in your
cellphone
plan. A buddy has a Blackberry and he's been using it as a
modem for
a while - no extra charge since he's already paying for data
for the phone
itself.
Speaking of dial-up, I think the old Juno free dial-up is
still out
there, or something like it. Very limited service but it
may keep you
connected!
