Why a balanced feed antenna?? Even a dipole would be easy for coax
feed...and a simple choke balun can be done with a couple of turns of coax
taped near the antenna. Or build a loop with a gamma match for direct coax
feed...
DON'T use a tuner on 6.....you want the antenna tuned at the antenna...not
at the radio...that just adds to feedline loss....and on 6m and up, I prefer
coax/Heliax over balanced line

Subject: [SixClub] Questions
Sitting here thinking of how great my christmas was (and I hope you
had a great one too), I started thinking about putting up a 6m
antenna. This one would be fed by balanced line, but I'll need
unbalanced line for my tumer that covers 6m. I really don't have a
balun good for 50-54mhz. I do have some T-200-2 toroids and some 24
gauge wire. So, does anyone know how many turns it would take to make
a balun for 6m if it is possible?
Thanks in advanced for any help that I get. And, I hope to catch you
on the air.
73,
Eric
