Why interlace? Why not just make the 6m elements vertical?

It sure would be helpful if someone on one of
these lists had a tested design that they could
share.
What I am really looking at is acquiring an 11M
beam and modifying it for 10M plus adding 6M.
Depending on the design I imagine it may even be
useful on 12M with a good tuner.
