[SixClub] Field Day?

Remember you may only be one person in the universe, but you may mean the universe to one person.

   N9RBE and I talked our club into putting up his 3 element 6 meter beam on a 30 ft crank up tower.  Never her4d signal one on 6, dead band.
   Seems all the high bands the group tried on HF were poor too, 10 and 15 meters.  Did great on 20 meters through, filled several papges in the log with one DX cotnact with HC2.  
    Often when the band is open on Friday night, and it was wide open here, conditions are poor for Field Day.  Anyone else ever obsevere this stange oddity?
    Oh well, had az good time and that is a mian part of the operation as well a getting a sttion or two on the air without comemrical power.
