Hello,

Any 2nd harmonics from the 27-MHz CB band fall above 53 MHz. (50.130
MHz / 2 = 25.065 MHz which is well below the USA's CB band. Of course,
inter modulation is a possible way to get to 50.130 MHz.) Sadly, some CB
to ham converts bring their CB attitudes and operating practices with
them. And, as you say, anyone willing to pay the fines can fire up most
anything without a license.
