Hi Gang two local hams are going to be in rare grids and are going to operate 6m.Here is the info on the first grid operation.
VE3RHZ is going to be in Wapusk National park which is 15 KM south of Churchill Manitoba. we think the grid is either EO37 or EO38. He will operate from about 11:00 to 19:00 UTC July 09 and the 10th.He will be using A portable hex beam for 6m and probably only 20 to 30w or so the power will depend on what kind of power source he can come up with.He has to be flown in on A helicopter so he's limited on how much equipment he can bring with him.
Here is the info on the second grid activation.

VE3FME Brett Orr is going to be up in EN68(ks?) from the 29th of June till around 14th July. He was my 'elmer' and is interested in playing on 6 @ his summer home. He may bring both his Icom 703 and his Yaesu 897 to play and have a dipole but as I told him, if the band is good you don't need much ( the 100 watts would help ) . Plus he is near the lake so he make get some tropo as well. Just curious as to the 'rarity' of that grid. I warned him if it is 'rare' I'll post him on the cluster and he'll likely have a pile up

Lets hope the propagation gods are with us.
