And my AV-640 has finally given up BEFORE I have the 7L C3i back in
operation.

Hopefully the parts will arrive and I can get the antennas repaired this
coming week. I have to bring the TH-5 down to get the 50C7 down AND then the
144/440 arrays. I've probably said this before, but...each antenna needs a
bit of TLC while down. The FO144-11s need the mounting U-bolts replaced with
saddle clamps as the U-bolts just don't have enough grip which is why the
one is now pointing up about 30 degrees. The 50C7 (7L 6-meter)needs the 1
1/2" mast clamps replaced with 2" saddle clamps so I can move it down onto
the 2" mast by about 3 feet and the old TH-5 tri-bander needs the mounting
bolts replaced.

I ordered 500 feet of the 1200# test Phyllistran from Texas Towers to use
as, two runs for a tram line, about 20 feet for a boom truss on the 50C7,
and the rest for guying a small tower, or mast on the end of the shop. A
double tram line increases the stability of the antennas on the way down and
reduced the number of people needed for ground support.

That's the plans for next week. What gets done and how many times I change
my mind between now and the finishing of the project? Who knows? Although I
really want to get them up there, I may opt for just putting the 50C7 and
TH-5 back up this fall. OTOH I'd really like to not only get the 144 and 440
vertically polarized arrays back up, but a long boom horizontal on 144 for
SSB and CW behind my Henry 2002A.
