Les they want to run multimedia at 100 khz wide and
they ALREADY have the gear to do it with.
I fully understand that 99% of digital lives well with
other modes but THEY want to change that with this
WIDEBAND crap and a get out of our way you LEGECY mode
users.
The ARRL is aware of the experiments they did on 6
last year UNDER CLOSED BAND CONDITIONS using only ONE
station.
FROM ARRL ....
"100 kHz, now permitted for RTTY and data in bands
above 420 MHz, would be permitted from 50.3 to 54 MHz,
144.3 to 148 MHz and 219 to 220 MHz to allow digital
multimedia and high-speed meteor scatter work"
NO WIDEBAND ON 6 OR 2 !
