OK,
I suppose I am going to weigh in on this subject, I have run M /2 Halo's @
20' and I have run a 6 ele, Cushcraft @ 85' I have worked the World from
20' and from 85'. I suppose what I am trying to say is this, 6 is the Magic
Band. When its open you can work the world on a fork. when its not, all the
amps in the world aren't going to help you. Ground Wave is a cool thing but
I don't think it really applies to 6 meters, If you wanna chat locally (
125. miles ) get to about 110' if you are willing to wait for Band
openings, then the height really doesn't matter. There are exceptions to
every rule, this is just my personal opinion, I hope this helps you.
Regards, Joey
