>This weekend is the annual 10-10 Summer Contest (also known as QSO
>party). It starts at 7:00 pm Friday and lasts until 7:00 pm Sunday.
>I am once again trying to win the contest for our local chapter, the
>Houston SHOT Chapter (Space Houston on Ten). Since the propagation
>is so poor, the only way I (we) can do well is with the support of
>local hams. I think that will be the winning formula for the time
>being. I am asking each and every one of you (in the greater Houston
>area) to look for me (point your beam towards Richmond, TX) and
>other local members of the Houston SHOT Chapter this weekend. We do
>have special contest nets which meet on Friday and Saturday night at
>8:00 pm on 28.488 unless we still have propagation. If there is
>propagation, we will postpone the net until the band dies.

>with or without 10-10 numbers. As a matter of fact, there is also a
>chapter competition and the Houston SHOT chapter would love to win
>that as well.
>
>We hold a weekly net on Tuesday nights (tonight) at 8:00 pm on
>28.488 and all are welcome to join in. if you are not yet a member
>of the local chapter, there is still time to join before the
>weekend. Please join us and help us to promote 10 meter activity
>(and please look for me to give me some contacts.)

>See you in the contest!
