[SixClub] Switching to CW - An Acceptable Practice on 6m?

On 6 occasionally I've tried to work a SSB station and they just 
flat-out couldn't hear me after many calls, so I switched to CW and they 
usually come right back to me.  I know you run the risk of the other 
station not knowing CW well or at all, but presumably they just wouldn't 
answer or acknowledge you if that was the case.

Do you consider switching to CW an acceptable practice?
