[SixClub] CB whip for 6m mobile??

Have any of you folks run a 102" steel whip for 6m with acceptable results?
  If yes, was it direct connect or did you have to use a tuner or trim the whip? I'm now useing a 5/8 wave 2m roof mount with switchbox and have to toggle between radios, which is a drag. I havent used 11m since I quit trucking so the 102" whip is just laying around waiting for a job.
