Gary,

I developed my own terrain files from US government source data, as
described in the HFTA Help file. Doing this is definitely not for the faint
of heart, but it does work as advertised. Go to the ARRL site to find the
most recent Help for HFTA, because it has been updated once or twice since
the program was published in the 20th Edition Antenna Book. If you can't
make it work for you, write to me and I'll try to help.
