Subject: [SixClub] Next Summer OPS for VHF Contest
Ok, I have a question and would love anyones input that would like to
help. I don't want to say this but well November is here and that
only leads to the question my fiancées and parents jumped on me at
dinner to night. What do you ant for Christmas. My response "thats a
good question. I will have to ask around to see what I want."
So that leads me to this. Next summer provided I can get off. I would
like to work the VHF contest in June. And to top it all off I would
like to run mostly 6 meters somewhere in the Maryland area as a portable
setup. I had a great thought of going to FM27 just on the VA/MD line
and running a small portable setup. Maybe even on the beach (4X4 fun)
However I want to ask all of you.
Are there areas in Maryland or a short drive from FM28 that are areas of
need? ( what will make me that traffic jam station?)
Other then the equipment listed here what else do I need? (for Christmas)
--Antenna: KU4AB.com <http://www.ku4ab.com> 6 meter
--Radio: Yaesu FT-857D
--Battery: any 12volt This one is a marine battery with lots of power.
--Clipboard, paper, pen, and something to sit on.
Thanks,
Murray
