Subject: [SixClub] QEX ?
Letter from the digiguys and my reply
Bruce,
We published two articles in QEX and another one in CQ
VHF asking for comments.
None were received (regarding frequency use), so we
applied for our FCC experimental license specifying
use of the 6M band segment allocated in the
ARRL Band Plan for "ALL MODES".
Any other suggestions?
John - K8OCL
This one is easy ...... AGAIN you bypassed the users
no one I know of reads either of them and as for ALL
MODES did ANYONE even think what 50.400 is used for
world wide ?????? I have a big gripe with the ARRL
they know full well that there are AM users and nets
also how are you identifing your transmissions? Can I
read your call with a HA-460? ro a G-50? there are
lots of them out there .....LIKE ...
( from a 6 meter group forum )......
So that is what that noise is when I have the radio
on 50.400 AM?
Now it may or may not be DIGITAL but all he hears is
noise ..... and on AM thats what it will sound like.
Are they really using an established 6M voice Calling
Frequency 50.400 for the testing of digital modes?
Are they IDing using CW or voice so Hams know what
they are hearing and from whom?
"The site mentions some sort of survey that claims
a high level of endorsement from licensed Hams."
"The site does not mention asking the frequent users
of 6M for their input. Has anyone heard from the
ARRL?"
Sounds like i'm right you need to got talk to thoes
who use the band .....
