Replacement value, unless they've rewritten the definition is (according to 
my insurrance company, but they all seem to have their own definition) the 
value to replace the item with a new one (if such exists) of the same 
capabilites and with *no* depreciation.  Generally new electronic equipment 
with the same capabilities as the old is less than half the price of the 
old.  Computers reach that point in about 6 months. With TVs it takes a year 
or two, but even with them the price is going down fast.  They don't have to 
use any depreciation as the new electronics is so much cheaper than the old.

Compared to the TS-180S, today you can probably purchase a 160 meters 
through 440 MHz, all mode, does most everything 100 watt output rig that is 
smaller and has DSP for less money than the 180 cost new.
