welcome to the neighboorhood
i live in lakeland which is about 20-25 miles North east of brandon
sadly i dont know of any 6 meter clubs in florida  but there is a very 
active ham club in tampa
www.hamclub.org
they do mini DXpeditions and have a very active ARES and ECOMM  thing
check out the club site above and it will better inform you
brandon has a club too but dont know much about it
