Not to mention reducing the life expectancy of bank tellers and fast-food
cashiers by ten years every time I pull up to the window to conduct
business.  

My worst experience, in that regard, is when I went under a 10.5 foot
railroad tressel with an 11 foot antenna while traveling 35 miles per hour.
I ripped the top off a ham-stick and unwound about 8 feet of copper,
destroying my 75 meter resonator.  The antenna stinger was stuck vertically
in the ground almost 20 feet away.  If it weren't sticking up, I may never
have found it.
