This is true for local contacts.  However, is it true after the ionosphere
has inverted, converted, and diverted the signal?

That's a really good looking antenna, however, I am not interested in one.
I am driving a mini-van and the height required to get it away from the roof
would put it in danger of being ripped off by all the trees and drive-thru
roofs I go under.
