[SixClub] Any use a MFJ-9606?

the MFJ, is a desperation radio, it drifts like a boat with no engine. I 
have picked up 2 alinco dx70th's on e bay here lately for les than 500.00 
apiece, one was still in the box and still had the plastic on it.
I too think you would be better off stayng away from it.

Has anyone used one of the MFJ-9606 FM Transceivers?
I am thinking of getting one. I am starting over on six for
about the umpteenth time.  College for a daughter will kill
the bank account!!
I am looking for comments, pro and con, before I lay out
the cash. Very interested in the FM stuff.  Also the simplex
is facinating.
Any help will be much appreciated.
