Doc,

I would only try a DSB mod if the final tube was dual pentode. I will look 
into the 106 later and see if it is possible. I believe from earlier 
experiences you would be better off getting an SB10 SSB adapter and 
converting it to 6. I know there were several that were used with DX40s on 6 
years ago.
