I finished Field Day with a 6 meter QSO count of 80 using the SQ-50 Square Halo
by KU4AB at 16 feet on PVC mast. The antenna gave excellent results and was
truly omnidirectional. I did not notice any specific direction better than
another and sigs were very good. I even could pull out the really weak ones and
work them after several exchanges for fills due to intense QRM on some spots. I
worked stations from Utah to Vermont, Colorado to Florida with excellent signal
reports.

As is said when the band is open anything will work but in this case after the
band started to close up I still had excellent results. I will have to admit
that having a 3000 foot mountain peak under the antenna didn't hurt but I have
used a simple dipole on the same setup from the same location and the SQ-50 is
indeed much better.

Thought I would pass along my results in case anyone is interested.
