Somehow, I doubt you'll be pleased with the copper tubing version if
you're unhappy with the heliax version.  Seems to me I recall the
designs were electrically similar, thereby giving similar results.  You
may need to start putting money aside to purchase a set of Wacom or
other commercial duplexers.  Of course, if you find the plans, it's a
lot less expensive to test with the copper tubing version than to go off
and buy a set of professional duplexers.
