John,
When Mike(KG4ROF) asked his question, I believe he wanted to cut a piece of wire and try to get on the air; maybe wait for a time when he had more time to start his Doctorate. The figures I posted for him were done with a calculator quick and dirty with no button for bare wire/ insulated also no: did it?/did it? or: does it?/does it? function. Sometimes an Elmer just answers questions to help folks get on for the weekend.
If you missed saturday's opening, you would hear about it for the next week or weeks. The band's activity and hair-on-fire excitement is enough to inspire a lot of research on it's own. 6m makes people more than willing to pay their dues just by virtue of the MAGIC!
