[SixClub] 6m this past weekend

Usually on the weekends I don't hear much activity on 6 meters, but
because this was a contest weekend everyone was on!!! I heard stations
as far west as Colorado from the east coast. There was a little Qsb, but
not so bad that you wouldn't be able to qso. I had better reception on 6
from the mobile than 17 and 20meters.

I am starting to think that maybe 6 is open more often than we seem to
think. Does anyone know if there is a rush hour net on 6?That would be
interesting.

Maybe some of those 2 meter and 20 meter nets would have better results
on 6? Especially on a warm weekend. 

I have not heard any nets on 6fm which could also be due to my location.

Next 6 meter contest I'm going to the beach and setting up my buddipole
with the 817 and see what kind of damage 2.5 watts can do to the magic
band.
