I seem to remember there were twelve others in that mine accident.  They are
no longer able to earn another dollar to support their families.  Perhaps we
might think of putting a little something aside for the wives and children
of the others whose fault it wasn't that the mine caved in.

William allow me to answer your question,

KC8VKZ is the lone suvivor of the coal mine accident, and his family not
being rich (if they were maybe they would send you some money) may need the
help from the extra money. The why we should send money is because it is the
charitable thing to do. If you are not a charitable person and have not love
in your heart for your fellow man don't send help and just ask why!

Some please explain to me why we should drop a dollar or two in the
mail to this person.
First of all its not our fault the mine cratered, and next when I send
a QSL card no one sends me a dollar or a stamp.
