CW is an inanimate, intangible concept, and 
incapable of losing.  Perchance what some believe 
may be "lost" is a key part (pun intended) of 
amateur radio's heritage, although there will be 
those who will continue (or learn) to enjoy the 
mode and employ it at their pleasure.
