Ok, so the CW requirement will go into the mist of radio history...good
thing, right?
  Well, maybe...

  ONWARD THRU THE FOG!

the code may no longer be required to advance in the Ham radio world (and
lest I misconstrewed, I say good thing...) yet I hope that CW continues and
grows stronger...is it not better to have someone WANT to learn CW in the
first place and WANT to operate on the CW frequencies, rather than forcing
it as some sort of "right of passage".? Let 's promote the technical end
of things and let us preach and practice good operating skills. Let us prove
to the naysayers that just because CW is no longer required that does not
mean any lessening of the skiil and dedication of those who chose to join or
advance in our ranks.

Finally, I would hope that all in all the Amateur radio fraternity
remembers the lessons of Katrina in that we serve ourselves best when we
serve others first .

Enjoy Amateur radio...hf, vhf, uhf, psk, eme, rtty, voice and YES...CW!.
