My 6 meter radio is currently in California on a repair bench & I 
noticed in returning from a meeting Thursday night that the 2 meter 
repeater I was on had some signals that sounded as if they were 
coming from a pretty good distance, which if true, would indicate the 
possibility of 6 meters opening up in SE Texas (1,500+ miles from 
where my radio currently is situated.).
