I could use BX, which is armored semi-flexible cable, but I can't determine
right at this moment if the code allows that.

that box with its own circuit breaker. We are going to be building in a
couple years and the shack / computer room will have *_MANY_* duplex
outlets, each on its own circuit breaker along with a couple of 220VAC's
even though I have no use for them at the moment.
At the moment my thoughts for feedline runs is not conduit (at least not
EMT) but several 2" PVC runs up the wall to the attic. I will put in some
type of a cable tray between where the PVC comes up and to where they will
need to go out.
