True, but do you just run SSB ? my cushcraft is freq held, it doesn't
like running the entire length of the 4 MHz 6 meter band. I like cw and psk
and a few other things. so I run one. I also fun a KLM log that's good for
10 to 40 mts. Maybe I am stuck on log antennas????

I've never used a Log Periodic antenna. Although I, early on, was
interested in them I determined that for the same boom length a Yagi has so
much more gain. The KMA 4113 shows to have 6.5 dBI gain which is about 3.5
dBd gain on a 12 foot boom. This is noticibly less gain than a M2 6m3 3
elements on a 6 foot boom and even a little less gain than a Moxon for 6
meters. Also 3 lightweight yagi's for 6 meters, 2 meters and 432 mhz, all
with much more gain wouldn't occupy any more space, except stacking
distance, on the mast. I don't run quads but I'm pretty sure their gain
figures would put them ahead of the LPDA also.
