[SixClub] Last night and today

It's been a while since I've heard anyone on Six here. (Idaho).    Though my
mobile 6m rig was out for a while so my operating time has been limited. 

Hooked up a new antenna (read; 'ball of wire') and dusted off my FT-897 last
night and hooked it up to Ham Radio Deluxe.  

After a few minutes of setting up the software on my new computer I was off
and running. I dialed in 50.125 and surprise, I heard folks. The best I ever
got was "I can here two of ya in there." The band wasn't helping either. By
the time I got out to my mobile to see if I could punch through, the opening
was done. 

So I finished setting up my radio in the new location today. And checked the
antenna (read; untangled previously mentioned ball of wire). 

Turned the radio on and threw out a CQ. In three minutes of operating I
talked to K6IVP in San Diego.  The magic band bug bites again.
