[SixClub] FM simplex

Other than 52.525, any other simplex channel is NOT nationally accepted...no
thanks to the ARRL...
The old 6mtr bandplan (pre 1980) had EVEN 40 kHz spaced channels....THEN the
ARRL rammed down everyone's throat the 1Mhz split with ODD
channels....making everyone convert (not everyone....lot of folks still used
52.60 and 52.64 as common channels)....then the ARRL in the 90s AGAIN TRIED
to ram the 500 kHz S CA plan down everyone's throat...how ironic that in CT,
that state is STILL -1MHZ plan and NOT the backwards 500kHz plan...based on
40yr old radios....

Again, 52.525 (which is still the only "oddball" channel) is the ONLY
national channel...but I have heard activity on 52.55, 52.57 and 52.49
simplex as well.
