We think of RC "models" but some of those models cost as much as the plane I
fly and it's high performance, complex, retract.
http://www.rogerhalstead.com/833R/833R_frame.htm (I have some much better
scans I should put up) I'd sure hate to have them find out I was the one who
put out a signal that caused a plane that cost that much to crash. Plus
those things are big enough to do a lot of damage if they hit something.
I've seen some of the racers that take two men to lift and two men to hold
in place on the ground at full throttle.
They aren't like the little RC models we used to fly in the 70s. I had a
Fox 35 which was considered a big engine although there were a few 60s, but
they were rare. Now they run piston engines with HP in double digits and
jets with 30 to 40# of thrust. Both top 200 MPH. I can only hit that going
down hill. <:-))
